The first project our branch ever adopted has set the standards for our club. Students will be challenged in an international competition designing, building and flying a small unmanned aircraft.
Formally known as FPV Drones, UAV is exploring scientific research in various areas of aviation with the intent of being able to publish useful and applicable research papers in the field.
This project is the heart of Astronautics. Our students are building rockets reaching altitudes of 5 -15,000 ft in the air! We also compete in national and international colligate rocketry competitions.
This project provides the opportunity for our members to emulate the life cycle of a real industry project while at UC Merced! In Project Turbine our members will have the opportunity to work with system integrations, CAD design, and manufacturing.
